About the Position Key responsibilities Ensure the financial practices within II&R are consistent and compliant with legislation and Departmental policies particularly in relation to accounts payable and accounts receivable. Assist in the design, development, maintenance and review of financial reports and budget management mechanisms for cost centre managers. Assist with the provision of timely advice and accurate reports on a regular basis to the Finance Manager and cost centre Managers including the preparation of the monthly reporting package and comprehending of financial and management reports within a complex IT environment. Prepare and review general ledger reconciliations and review detailed general ledger transaction reports to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial records. Contribute to the development and implementation of financial management improvement strategies, internal reporting, internal financial controls and automation of processes where practical. Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with clients, stakeholders and management and within the financial support team. Promote a positive image for Information, Innovation and Recovery to establish effective partnerships with central agencies and other stakeholders. Is this role for you?
