IFYS has an exciting chance to fill the role of Residential Care Coordinator in our Ipswich Child Safety Residential Care programs.The Residential Care Coordinator plays an integral role in providing quality residential care and life skill support to young people aged up to 17 years of age, based on a therapeutic and trauma-informed model of care. Reporting to the Area Manager, this position will actively lead and supervise our dedicated team of Residential Youth Workers. this function ensures high-quality service delivery in line with the recognised standards of care whilst meeting the operational and administrative requirements of the program.Key Responsibilities Of this function Include Provide and maintain a safe, therapeutic and homely environment for young people to grow and learn Plan and conduct developmentally appropriate individual and group activities consistent with meeting the young people s needs and goals in line with Case Plans Support and manage young people s behaviour in line with Action Behaviour Support Plans in a consistent and calm manner The timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks, including legislative reporting. The setting of rosters, supervision and development of staff and the recruitment and induction of new staff Ensure adherence to licencing and HSQF standards efficiently collaborate with stakeholders and form community connections.To Be prosperous In this function You Will Have Demonstrated in child protection programs Resilience, flexibility and an innovative way of approaching complex situations Proven leadership abilities expertise and well developed interpersonal and communication expertise A passion for working with young people Strong knowledge of trauma and its impact on the development and behaviour of children and young people Demonstrated capability to develop and maintain a partnership approach with colleagues, the community and other agencies in all aspects of work High level of written, verbal and computer-based communication expertise, including the use of data and case management reporting portals knowledge of the Child Protection Act 1999 in a similar role with similar responsibilities.
