About the Position The Laurel Hotel is a family run business located close to the city in Ascot Vale. We have a large bistro, multiple function spaces, sports bar and rooftop beer garden with food being served in all areas daily. You will be working alongside the kitchen team in a friendly and busy environment creating traditional style pub fare with a modern twist, You will assist with rostering, weekly specials, menu creativity and implementation. You will be well presented, have good communication skills and be able to work unsupervised in all areas of the kitchen. We are looking for a team player to fit into our already established team and hope that you are the one! As Sous Chef, you will be required to work varied hours including nights, weekends, public holidays and events as required. Demonstrated previous experience as a Sous Chef is a must, as well as extensive knowledge on the working and day to day runnings of a kitchen.
